Activities on the site can be split into two main categories: those which are self run and those which are centre run.
Self run activities are those which any responsible adult can supervise a group of young people on the activity. Guidelines are provide by the centre and Fordell Firs Active Support staff may be available to help, but on the whole it is left to the visitors to run the activity themselves.
Centre run activities are ‘adventurous activities’ and normally require some form of training or site authorisation to run them. These have to be supervised by Fordell Firs Active Support, staff members or visitors who can demonstrate that they have the required training / authorisation to run the activity.
A leader / responsible adult supervisor must always be in attendance when self supervised activities are being undertaken
National and other one-off Events or Activites which are happening at Fordell Firs are advertised in our Future Events page (Click here).
