The graph below shows the average number of visitors per day to the Fordell Firs website domains.

Prior to January 2007 Fordell Firs’ website was a one page advert Fordellfirs.org.uk with an e-mail link to the warden, the website was maintained by Edscout.
In September 2006 we launched the website Fordell-Firs.co.uk  as a new multipage website.

In September 2008 we acquired Fordellfirs.org.uk from Edscout and it was recommended that we change our main domain from ‘.co.uk’ to ‘.org.uk’ This was done and fordell-firs.org.uk (with a dash!) became the main domain name but the main e-mail address warden@fordellfirs.org.uk (without the dash) remains.

In November 2009 we closed down fordell-firs.co.uk and the site was only used for testing ideas before they were made live on the website. By January 2011 it was noted that there were still people looking for information on fordell-firs.co.uk because it was still coming up on search engines, so it was reinstated as a mirror of Fordell-firs.org.uk

The peak that appears on the graph above in June 2009 was because of the number of visitors who viewed Dunfermline District’s Centenary Camp pictures.
The two peaks in May and June June 2010 were due to people visiting the site for information about  Fordell Fast Forward and to see the pictures afterwards.
The peak in March 2011 was due to the ‘GI Jane’ event - a fundraiser for the Meningitis Research Foundation
The peak in January 2012 was due to a Big Badge Camp run by Fordell Firs staff, (7 Scout Activity Badges in 3 days).

March 2012 onwards the website was changed and maintained by a different team.
